NEW! Models Own Soft Pop HyperGel Collection
Hello! It's been a while since Models Own have released a new polish collection and let me tell you, it's definitely worth the wait! Today I've got the new Soft Pop HyperGel Collection to show you. This is a collection of five pastels that POP!
The five colours in this collection are Lilac Flush (Purple), Lemon Popsicle (Lemon), Sugar Rush (Blue), Candy Floss (Pink) and Cosy Posy (Lime).
Starting with Lilac Flush - this is an intense lavender.
I really love this shade - a perfect summer colour! This was great to apply and opaque in two coats, drying to a really high shine.
Next we have Lemon Popsicle - an icy lemon with a neon twist.
This was three coats of Lemon Popsicle. Usually I'd apply over a white base but I wanted to see what the polish looked like on it's own. This is definitely a new favourite, it especially looks great at dusk where the neon really shines through.
Next we have Sugar Rush which is a typical baby blue.
This was two coats of Sugar Rush. Again, the neon/bright aspect to this does set it apart from your usual typical baby blue shade. Very cute.
Next we have Candy Floss - a sugary sweet pink.
This is two coats of Candy Floss. A very pretty shade - would be perfect on your toes over the summer!
Finally we have Cosy Posy. This is a zesty lime sherbert shade.
Again, this is only two coats and look at the fun neon green we've got here. Really cute and unusual.
So what do you think? Models Own never cease to impress me with their new collections so this one is a winner for me (and I'm sure you can see that this collection of colours is screaming out for a gradient, so watch this space!)
The Soft Pop HyperGel collection is available now at www.modelsownit.com and in all UK Bottleshops priced at £4.99.

First up is Flapper Girl. This is a gorgeous rich red shade.
I can't believe how shiny this polish is! You can nearly see my reflection! This is two coats of Flapper Girl,
Next up is Ice Ice Baby. I'm always on the look out for a good white, and this doesn't disappoint.
This is two coats of Ice Ice Baby. Perfect base for some nail art!

This is two coats o Pixie Whispers. I really love these kind of shades at the moment - this one has gone straight onto my toes!
Finally we have Supernova. This is a lovely shimmery silver shade.
I think you could use just one coat of Supernova as a sheer shimmer topper over another shade, it's very pretty. This is three coats.

Nicole Diary - Full Nail Water Decals
Hello! I've got some lovely decals to show you today from a brand I've not tried before - Nicole Diary. You can get these really cute decals for a bargain price of $0.90 with free shipping.
These were really great quality and easy to use. I painted my nails with a base coat of white, and then as the pattern comes on a sheet, I cut to size, and then soaked in water then applied to my nail.
Simply file off any lose edges then finish with a top coat. One thing I sometimes struggle with is that my nails can be too long for full nail decals, but these still had about 0.5cm room for maneuver which was great!
Check out all the other great nail art supplies you can buy from Nicole Diary at AliExpress.

Sensational - Polish to Gel Transformer - Starter Kit
Hello! I've got an exciting review for you today of the Sensational - Polish to Gel Transformer - Starter Kit which you can get hold from Boots for the bargain price of £34.99 at the moment (saving £15 on RRP). The premise of this kit is that you can can use your favourite polish and transform it into a gel polish by mixing 50/50 with the transformer, or you can use this as a gel top coat to seal over your polish/nail art design.
The LED lamp works on a 15 Second/30 Second timer. You place your hand underneath to cure the polish and it will flash at 15 seconds, and switch off at 30 seconds, so you don't need to keep an eye on the time yourself.
So, I decided to get one of my good friends, Mia, around to mind to by my guinea pig - she's a fan of using gel polish / manicures, plus she has a job that involves a lot of hand washing / using her hands so I thought this would be a good test of the longevity of the manicure.
We decided to go for the gel top coat method, as that meant that we could go for a bit of nail art... I painted her nails as usual, we did a bit of a gradient, and a bit of leopard print and then applied the top coat and cured this for 15 seconds under the lamp, as instructed.
Once cured, you finish off by using a lint-free wip and the gel cleanser and wipe this over the nail.
Here is the finished result, looking good, right?
So - what do you think? This was incredibly easy to use, and I think the price is a complete bargain - LED lamps alone usually cost more than this.
In terms of removal - the advice is that this will take about 5 minutes. You start by buffing the nail slightly to break the top coat seal and either soak the nail in Sensational Gel Polish Remover, or foil wrap your nails with a cotton pad soaked in the remover, then use the manicure stick provided to push any remaining polish off your nails.
I will be reporting back in respect of the longevity of the manicure, so watch this space!

So - let's have a look at what you get in the box...
- Gel Cleanser 14.6ml
- Gel Primer 3.54ml
- Polish to Gel Transformer 7.39ml
- Pro LED Lamp with USB lead and mains adaptor
- 12 Lint free Wipes
- Mixing Pot
- Double-sided nail buffer Manicure Stick

Models Own - Polish for Tans - New Shades For Summer 2016
Hello! I've got an exciting new collection to show you today from Models Own - more fabulous shades have been added to their Polish for Tans collection (see previous shades here).
This collection really is the summer go-to for a fun bright nail colour and Models Own never fail to impress each time they add new shades to the collection.
The five new shades are:
Barrier Reef - bright milky pink
Beach Fire - glowing amber
Boat Party - vivid orchid purple
Island Hop - hot neon pink
Surfs Up - luminous coral
So, to avoid repetition, all of the following swatches are three coats. There is no white base underneath (my usual go to for making a polish *pop* - really not required here!). All are quick drying and the brush makes this a lovely polish to apply.
So, starting with Barrier Reef. I love a pink, and this is a baby pink with a POW.
A lovely pretty pink colour.
Next we have Beach Fire. I love this shade, it's like a neon apricot party.
Gorgeous.
Next we have have Boat Party. (I love a boat party).
This is a lovely party purple shade. YES.
Onto Island Hop. A lovely bright neon pink.
This one you really need to see in real life to believe. It really, really POPS.
Finally we have Surfs Up.
This is a described as a coral, but in some lights it's a magnificent neon red shade.
So, what do you think? I can't even single out a favourite - they are all perfect summer shades. Naturally there'll be some nail art to follow!
The Polish for Tans collection is available now priced at £4.99.

Models Own - Polish for Tans - nail art
Hello! The other day I showed you the fabulous new shades that have been added to the Models Own Polish for Tans collection. Obviously, it'd be completely rude not to use them for a bit of summery nail art!
Firstly, I put a colour on each nail...
I could have left it at that really - how lovely do these colours look together?
It's been a while, so I thought it was time for a bit of leopard print...
These colours really help the pattern pop!

Nailbox - Monthly nail polish box
Hello! I'm really excited to show you my post and swatches today as I've got a box to show you from the monthly nailbox subscription service from www.nailbox.co.uk. This is incredibly exciting news as this is the opportunity to get a monthly delivery of beautiful seasonal shades of mainstream polish brands, which I don't think we've got going on anywhere else at the moment in the UK. WHOOP!
So, whats the score? Each month, nailbox will send 4 full size polishes and an additional nail care/nail art item. You can choose to subscribe for a full year, and pay £13.50 per box (delivery included) or buy on a monthly basis for £15 a month (delivery included). I love the idea of getting a box of pretty polishes delivered to me each month!
This box contains four polishes:
Starting with Bourjois - Black Turquoise. This is a really highly pigmented turquoise shade, that dries to a brilliant high shine. This is two coats - it's so lovely and bright it's nearly neon.
Next, we have Rimmel Matte - Cheeky Chap - this is a lovely pale blue pastel that (clue is in the title!) dries to a matte finish. This is really quick drying too, and the simple thing is, if matte isn't your thing, you can easily add a glossy top coat if you like too. This is two coats.
This was the perfect base to then try out Essie - Jazzy Jubilant. This is a lovely glitter topper that I think would look lovely over most colours. This is one coat.
Final polish in the box is OPI - Is Mai Tai Crooked? (I love OPI polish names, they always make me chuckle). This is a lovely peachy/orange shade. Again, lovely application and nice shine. This is three coats.
The extra bit in the box this time is some nail art tape from Elegant Touch. So I thought it'd be a great opportunity to use all the polishes and do a little nail art.
The nail art tape is a sheet of long strips of lots of different metallic shades which you can cut to size and apply to your nails. Really simple to jazz up your manicure!

Easy bling nails
Hello! I've got a pretty simple but lovely manicure for you today.
I've gone for a mix of colours (all fairly neutral) and then jazzed it all up with some nail adornments and diamantes. A really easy way to get a cool look even if you aren't that confident with your nail art. You can pick up diamante wheels and nail adornments really cheap on eBay.

Models Own - Polish For Tans Nail Art
Hello! I couldn't resist the opportunity for a gradient using the lovely new shades from the Models Own Polish For Tans collection.
Look how nicely they all blend together!
Now, I'm never one to leave a gradient just on it's own so I thought I'd add a bit of a black and white pattern over the top.
To do this, I used striping tape to mark out the pattern and then dotting tools to paint in the black and white. A bit time consuming but the end result looks really effective.
Finally, I thought a few dots might look a bit cool too (always a bit of a risk at this point of ruining the look by taking it too far!)
But luckily this seemed to work!
